Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for an E-Book Formatter. The E-Book Formatter will be responsible for converting manuscripts into professional e-book formats, ensuring a seamless reading experience across different e-reader devices. Daily tasks include formatting text, adjusting layout and design elements, inserting and formatting images, and ensuring consistency and readability of the final product. The E-Book Formatter will also collaborate with authors, editors, and graphic designers to ensure the accuracy and quality of the e-books.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with e-book formatting tools and software (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Sigil, Calibre)
- Experience in text formatting, layout design, and handling different e-reader specifications
- Attention to detail and consistency in ensuring a high-quality reading experience
- Strong skills in HTML/CSS for e-book formatting purposes
- Basic image editing and insertion capabilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Previous experience in e-book formatting or digital publishing is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
