EMR Implementation and Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• EMR Migration:
• Lead the end-to-end migration of EMR systems, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the migration process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create migration plans, timelines, and milestones.
• Conduct pre-migration assessments to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Perform thorough testing and validation of data post-migration.
• EMR Implementation:
• Configure, customize, and deploy EMR systems based on the specific needs of the healthcare facility.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure EMR workflows align with operational practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the implementation phase.
• Training and Support:
• Develop and deliver training programs for healthcare staff on new EMR functionalities and workflows.
• Provide ongoing support for users post-implementation to ensure smooth adoption and use of the EMR system.
• Create and update training materials, user guides, and FAQs.
• System Optimization:
• Monitor the performance of EMR systems and recommend optimizations to enhance usability and efficiency.
• Stay updated on new features, regulatory changes, and best practices in EMR systems to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
• Data Security and Compliance:
• Ensure that all EMR migrations and implementations comply with relevant regulations, including HIPAA and HITECH.
• Work with security teams to ensure the protection of patient data throughout the migration and implementation process.
• Collaboration:
• Partner with third-party vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Coordinate with IT teams to manage integrations with other healthcare applications, such as billing and scheduling systems.

Work Experience:

• Proven experience in EMR migration and implementation, with a minimum of 3-4 years in a healthcare setting.
• Hands-on experience with EMR Athena and EClinical Works.
• Experience with data migration tools and techniques

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Skills:

• Good Communication
• Strong knowledge of healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and regulations (HIPAA, HITECH).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with healthcare professionals and IT teams.

Benefits:

• Workdays: Monday - Friday
• Work hours: 2 pm – 10 pm PKT (Evening shift)
• Gross Salary (USD): $600-$700
