  • Input accounting data into the accounting system (QuickBooks) for updated underlying records.
  • Recording sales collections and making sales reconciliations.
  • Ensure the records are complete, up to date & properly signed off including any documentary evidence, invoices, and vouchers.
  • Maintain and update prepayments schedules, accruals, and accounts receivable periodically.
  • Maintenance of all local payment vouchers and cheque register of all payments disbursed.
  • Verify all payment requests including preparation and posting of all accounting transactions as well as reconciling cash position.
  • Preparation of periodic costing reports based on different segments.
  • Liaise with banks and ensure timely preparation of bank reconciliations on a periodic basis.
  • Month End stock reconciliations and coordination for closing matters including physical stock takes.
  • Liaise with the tax advisor on matters concerning withholding income tax and sales tax to ascertain accurate deductions before processing invoices.
  • Periodically review and modify insurance arrangements for company PPE.
  • Monthly preparation of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement).
  • Assist the team in preparing ad-hoc requests arising from the management team.
