The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in export management and hero categories, a proven track record in driving sales in international markets, and a robust understanding of global trade and compliance regulations.
Responsibilities:
Export Strategy & Market Development
- Develop and execute the export strategy to establish Dastgyr as a key player in international markets, particularly in the UK, Europe and Africa.
- Identify and evaluate new markets, customer segments, and distribution channels to drive export sales growth.
- Conduct market research to analyze international trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities.
Sales & Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with overseas buyers, distributors, and trade partners.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts, pricing, and trade terms with international clients.
- Work towards achieving export sales targets by identifying high-value opportunities and closing deals.
Operations & Compliance Management
- Oversee the entire export process, including documentation, shipping, customs clearance, and payment terms.
- Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations, including export licenses, tariffs, and duties.
- Collaborate with logistics, demand and supply teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
Product Launches & Category Expansion
- Leverage knowledge of international markets to recommend product adaptations and new category launches.
- Drive export-specific marketing campaigns and promotions to enhance product visibility and demand.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure export categories meet global standards and customer needs.
Financial & Performance Management
- Take full ownership of export revenue and profitability, ensuring alignment with Dastgyr’s financial objectives.
- Monitor and report on export performance metrics, including sales growth, margins, and customer retention.
- Optimize cost structures to ensure competitive pricing without compromising quality.
Qualifications:
- 8-12 years of proven experience in export sales, trade, or international business development in any category.
- Categories like fresh, rice, electronics/accessories, food and staples, and CPG goods will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of export regulations, logistics, and documentation.
- An existing network of strong international buyers, distributors, and trade partners is mandatory.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory; additional languages are a plus.
- Knowledge of consumer goods, agriculture, or other exportable categories is a significant advantage.
