Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R) and General Accounting (GA) activities for the Pakistan entity, ensuring compliance with internal controls, statutory requirements, and ABB’s global reporting standards. Operating outside the GBS hub, you will collaborate with global teams while taking full ownership of local accounting and reporting responsibilities.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Performing general accounting activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and period-end closings.
• Managing fixed asset accounting, lease accounting, and payroll-related accounting activities.
• Preparing financial statements, disclosure reports, and statutory filings in compliance with local and group requirements.
• Supporting internal control testing, audit readiness, and ensuring ICoFR compliance.
• Executing balance sheet and P&L reviews, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Coordinating with HR, Treasury, and Procurement for payroll postings, fund transfers, and intercompany settlements.
• Managing master data changes (GL, cost centers, profit centers) in alignment with global standards.
• Driving process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and control.

Qualifications For The Role

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (CA, ACCA, CMA) preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in General Accounting, R2R, or Financial Reporting, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong understanding of fixed assets, lease accounting, payroll accounting, and financial statement preparation.
• Proficiency in SAP (FI, CO, FA, MDG-F) or similar ERP systems.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in reconciliations and reporting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with global teams and local stakeholders.
