Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer with a robust background in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive experience with various databases, including Redis, MySQL, and Firestore, and proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud. This role involves hands-on development, leveraging Looker for data visualization to drive business intelligence in the gaming development sector, and participating in the entire development lifecycle from concept to deployment.

What will you be doing?

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable systems.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to address and mitigate these problems.
• Create custom game analytics dashboards using SQL and LookML.
• Work on Google Cloud Functions for backend APIs used by our games.
• Utilize Retool to create custom tools as requested by the product team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand gaming requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Implement best practices in coding, testing, and deployment to ensure the reliability and performance.
  
  

What are we looking for?

• BA/BS degree in computer science, game development, or related fields; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of industry experience working as a Full Stack Developer.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python.
• Experience with databases: Redis, MySQL, and Firestore.
• Understanding of concepts like MySQL joins, common table expressions, and window functions.
• Good to have experience with Looker for data visualization and business intelligence.
• Experience working with cloud computing platforms, preferably AWS or Google Cloud.
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalable web applications.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning.
