Game Quality Assurance Lead

About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Game QA Lead to join our growing team! You will play a pivotal role in leading our Game Analysts team, ensuring high-quality testing across diverse platforms and projects.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the Gaming industry.
• Proven ability to lead large projects.
• Demonstrated success in executing at least 2 large projects as a QA project lead.
• Experience working on various platforms and projects across different genres.
• Strong proficiency in documenting large projects thoroughly and independently.
• A history of contributing to process improvements and best QA practices.
• Minimum of 2.5 years of experience in team management, including training, mentoring, and reviewing the work of team members.
• Proven ability to manage weekly QA allocations, effectively document testing updates for the entire team, and maintain efficient processes.
• ISTQB Foundation Level Certification (or equivalent).

Responsibilities:

• Lead the team members in their development towards becoming leads.
• Conduct departmental meetings with Core Members to define objectives and goals for the Game Analysts team, discuss improvements to work processes, and address relevant issues.
• Facilitate department-wide meetings to discuss team challenges, address agenda points, and propose solutions.
• Independently document user stories for major features.
• Fulfill assigned departmental responsibilities.
• Conduct interviews and evaluate tests for senior candidate positions.
• Deliver training sessions for newly hired senior team members.
• Proficient in various testing strategies (exploratory, UI, metadata-based, user story-based) and bug replication. Report bugs according to established templates.
• Organize and manage team-wide and office-wide testing sessions.
• Categorize client feedback into missed bugs (severity, intended behaviour), polishes/suggestions, and client knowledge gaps.
• Review, correct, and provide constructive feedback on testing updates written by junior QA members (working on the same project).
• Attend project-related meetings (SPM, build review, morning meetings, etc.).
• Provide feedback on Project Managers with whom you collaborate as the primary QA lead.
• Maintain the team's task log on Asana.
• Dedicate adequate time to playing the project's reference games.
