Job Description:
Qualification & Experience:
Essential:

• DAE (Electrical) having 03 Years hands-on experience in handling data centre facility equipment electrical, cooling, fire detection & suppression system.

Desirable:

• B Tech (Electrical) having 05 Years hands-on experience in handling data centre facility equipment electrical, cooling, fire detection & suppression system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for smooth operation of critical facility equipment i.e Electrical, Cooling, Fire detection & suppression system.

• Physical & online monitoring of Data Centre’s Facility Equipment.

• Timely Handling of critical Alarms.

• Preventive Maintenance of the Facility equipment.

• Implementation of Data Centre SoPs.

• Up to Date Data Centre Inventory record.

• Liaison with vendors for repair of facility equipment.

• Data Centre UTP Cabling & dressing.

• Shift duty (Morning, Evening and night) at Data Centre.

• Any task assigned by Senior Manager Data Centre Operations.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Essential:

• Knowledge of Data Centre SoPs & Facility equipment operations.

• Data Centre electrical equipment Trouble shooting & rectification.

• Ability to handle critical state of the facility equipment ,UPS, Cooling system, Fire detection & suppression system and prompt necessary guidance to duty person.

Desirable:

• In depth knowledge of data centre sops & facility equipment operations

• Data centre electrical panels, ups ,cooling system , fire detection & suppression system equipment alarms handling & its rectification

• Knowledge of data centre infrastructure monitoring (DCIM) .

Training / Certifications:
Essential:

• Training in Data Centre electrical, Cooling, Fire Detection & Suppression System.

Desirable:

• Certification in Data Centre electrical & Cooling system.

Terms & Conditions:

• Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC.

Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:

• Weak academic profile / 3rd division in terminal degree (last degree).

• NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.

• In process of pursuing a required degree.

• Medically unfit.
