What You Will Be Doing

• Constructing highly precise Academic Data Reports and performing structured analysis to identify issues, detect outliers, and initiate corrections within a 48-hour window
• Facilitating urgent-response intervention calls and delivering post-evaluation coaching sessions to eliminate obstacles, distinguish understanding deficits from execution mistakes, and sustain learner motivation
• Assessing and deploying new educational applications and curriculum resources while creating AI/LLM prototypes to advance learning methodologies and address targeted challenges
• Collaborating with leadership to optimize tools, dashboards, and mastery benchmarks as the AI tutor continues to develop

Lead Data Scientist Key Responsibilities

Accelerate student learning outcomes through AI-powered analysis and live academic intelligence, evidenced by improved indicators such as 2× learning velocity, application engagement, lesson mastery, answer precision, and decreased negative learning behaviors throughout the Alpha Anywhere network.

Basic Requirements

• Proven experience in data science or comparable position, education, EdTech, or a learner-support capacity with both quantitative and relational dimensions
• Competence in Google Sheets data analysis (lookups, pivot tables, filtering)
• Strong emotional intelligence, excellent communication abilities and a child-appropriate coaching approach
• Experience constructing workflows and automations with AI
  
  

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Foundation in learning science, educational theory, or confirmed achievement enhancing outcomes through data-informed strategies
• Familiarity with Generative AI, prompting methodologies, and foundational coding capabilities (Python, JavaScript, etc.) for querying AI APIs

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $30 USD/hour, which equates to $60,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
