Position Overview:
The Manager – Finance & Accounts (Financial Reporting) will play a critical role in supporting the financial reporting processes of the organization. This position requires a strong understanding of financial accounting principles, reporting standards, and a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of financial statements, managing month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the overall financial analysis and reporting functions of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and execute the posting process within NetSuite Software.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS, GAAP, or other relevant accounting standards. This includes reconciliation of all the critical heads of the financial statements
- Ensure that all financial data is prepared and available for audit purposes. Assist in the preparation of year-end working papers and schedules for external auditors.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide financial insights to help the business understand key drivers behind financial results.
- Assist in the preparation of budgeting and forecasting reports and analyze actual performance against budgeted targets.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data and timely reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, regulatory requirements, and external audits.
- Stay updated on any changes in accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and implement changes to the reporting process as necessary.
Education and Experience:
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CMA, CIMA, or ICMA are required.
- At least 2 years of Audit firm is preferred with an overall experience of 5 years.
- Experience of managing the accounting and reporting functions of US Based companies is highly preferred
Key Skills and Competencies
Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, including knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, or local accounting standards.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Knowledge of financial statement preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing procedures.
Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Ability to perform detailed variance analysis and identify trends or anomalies in financial data.
Attention to Detail:
High level of accuracy and attention to detail when preparing financial statements and reports.
Communication:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present financial information to management and stakeholders.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Problem Solving:
Ability to identify issues and provide solutions related to financial reporting, accounting processes, and systems
