Managing Consultant Data Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Solution Architect with strong expertise in SQL, Python, and Teradata to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end solutions for data management and analytics, ensuring that technical strategies align with the business goals. You will be responsible for architecting scalable, robust, and efficient data-driven solutions, and leading the design and implementation of complex database systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of data-driven solutions and architectures, leveraging SQL, Python, and Teradata.
• Develop high-level and detailed technical designs, considering system performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide architectural guidance and recommendations for the development and enhancement of database applications.
• Implement and optimize SQL-based queries and data models for large-scale Teradata systems.
• Develop Python scripts for automation, data transformation, and system integration.
• Ensure that all solutions adhere to best practices in data security, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Lead the integration of third-party systems, APIs, and data pipelines into existing architectures.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and frameworks that best fit the business needs.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and document issues with solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices and technical problem-solving.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience: Minimum of [X] years in a Solution Architect or related role with significant exposure to SQL, Python, and Teradata.
• Strong experience in Teradata architecture, including data modeling, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Extensive knowledge of SQL for writing complex queries, data manipulation, and optimizing database operations.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting, data processing, and automation tasks.
• Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Experience designing scalable, high-performance data architectures and solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of database design principles, data integrity, and data governance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including business users, data engineers, and developers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and logically.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other database technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
• Knowledge of Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
• Experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Teradata, AWS, Azure) are a plus.
