Key Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in marine / mechanical.
- Experience: 15-20 years in marine equipment lifting including relevant training, experience, and certifications, often with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance. Should have a strong understanding of lifting equipment types, capabilities, and limitations, as well as the ability to plan and execute lifting operations safely. well-versed in relevant international and local regulations, such as those from the IMO (International Maritime Organization) and EU, as well as specific flag administration requirements. Includes knowledge of various crane types, lifting gear, and their respective load charts, as well as an understanding of sling configurations and angles.
