ibex is looking for a Principal Data Specialist with hands-on experience in the Microsoft Azure data ecosystem, including Microsoft Fabric, to lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise data platforms. This role will be instrumental in shaping our modern data architecture and ensuring high performance, scalability, and strong data governance across analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage data models (star and snowflake schemas) for reporting in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Develop interactive dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Excel, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Create data models utilizing Power Query (M language) and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX).
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dataflows to ingest, transform, and prepare data from multiple sources for reporting and analysis.
  • Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions for data extraction and transformation.
  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and deliver interactive, user-friendly dashboards and reports.
  • Maintain and optimize existing BI solutions and Queries.
  • Build and optimize semantic data models in Power BI, ensuring data accuracy, performance optimization, and reusability.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications to deliver effective, data-driven solutions.
  • Perform data validation, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure the accuracy and performance.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting and data analysis requests from various departments
  • Develop and Maintain Power BI Reports & Dashboards
  • Design and Manage Power BI Dataflows
  • Build Semantic Data Models

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • 5+ years of experience with developing reports using multiple Business Intelligence applications/SQL/Reporting/adhoc business reporting
  • Power BI Expertise
  • Strong DAX Knowledge
  • TSQL/PLSQL
  • Data Modeling
  • Analytical Thinking.
  • Performance Optimization: Ability to optimize Power BI reports and data models for fast query performance and efficient data refresh.
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
