Principal Software Engineer

We are currently looking for a Full-Stack Principal Software Engineer with expertise in Javascript to work on-site in our Lahore, Pakistan office.

In this role you will:

• Designing, coding, and debugging software.
• Improving the performance of existing software.
• Providing training to other engineers.
• Maintaining and upgrading existing software.
• Recommending new technologies that can help increase productivity.
• Supervising and overseeing the technical aspects of projects.
• Investigating software-related complaints and making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal software performance.
• Regularly attending team meetings to discuss projects, brainstorm ideas, and put forward solutions to any issues.

Skills and Requirements:

• 6+ years experience as a Software Engineer
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering / IT or relevant field
• Hands-on experience with Nodejs and Angular is a must
• Knowledge of selected programming languages (e.g. Python, C++, Java/J2EE platform)
• Extensive experience in software development, scripting and project management
• Experience using system monitoring tools (e.g. New Relic) and automated testing frameworks
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good communication skills; verbal and written
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills
• Proven experience in software development methodologies.
• Proven experience building complex web systems.
• The ability to multitask.
