Job Purpose
The Regional Business Development Manager will be responsible for leading business growth initiatives in the assigned region by expanding market presence, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring the achievement of sales, revenue, and profitability targets. This role requires a proven leader with strong commercial acumen, a deep understanding of the food service industry, and the ability to develop and inspire a high-performing sales team.
Principal Responsibilities
The Regional Business Development Manager will be responsible for leading business growth initiatives in the assigned region by expanding market presence, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring the achievement of sales, revenue, and profitability targets. This role requires a proven leader with strong commercial acumen, a deep understanding of the food service industry, and the ability to develop and inspire a high-performing sales team.
Principal Responsibilities
- Develop new markets and accounts by utilizing the current relationships and building new relationships in the food service channel
- Identifying market potential in order to establish new accounts, achieve sales targets
- Achieve food service sales volume, revenue and profitability goals
- Activate local marketplace initiatives and promotions to build brand development and maximize brand performance
- Maintain, monitor, and regularly evaluate pricing and contracts with customers so as to provide products and services that meet standards of quality, timeliness and cost
- Keep records required by government agencies regarding sanitation, and food subsidies when appropriate
- Proven track record in developing markets and achieving business results
- Communicate trends/pricing issues and other unique issues as it relates to sale
- Manage FSD distributors to effectively provide services to FSD clients
- Develop, communicate and align foodservice annual plan with stakeholders
- Develop Strong Business Relationship with Key POC (Owner/Chef/Purchase Managers)
- Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of account managers to pursue prospects, promote products, offer solutions and achieve sales targets
- Education: Graduate
- Strong track record in developing markets, managing distributors, and achieving sales targets
- Deep understanding of food service channel dynamics and customer needs
- Excellent relationship-building skills with key food service stakeholders (owners, chefs, purchase managers)
- Proven leadership skills with experience in coaching and developing teams
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical mindset, and negotiation skill
