This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly. What You Will Be Doing
- Creating and sustaining an AI-centric finance system to support rapidly growing educational ventures
- Documenting key design choices that streamline and expand financial processes
- Evaluating detailed plans and offering written guidance to enhance logical reasoning for both AI and human teams
- Engaging in pivotal meetings concerning budgets, expansion strategies, vendor agreements, and compliance requirements
- Ensuring seamless execution of finance operations such as tuition management, audits, and tax filings at scale
- Overseeing a large finance team
- Handling routine monthly close tasks or approving transactions manually
- Settling for standard ERP workflows as satisfactory
- Delegating challenging tasks—this role requires hands-on leadership
- Operating in a slow-paced, stable environment—expect rapid growth and scaling
Design and manage a streamlined, AI-driven finance system that supports multiple fast-paced education businesses, minimizing waste and maximizing scalability.
Basic Requirements
- CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or MBA qualifications
- Over a decade of experience in finance leadership roles like Finance Manager, Controller, or CFO, with a proven track record of responsibility and growth
- Experience in a senior finance leadership position (SVP, CFO, or similar) with full control over core finance functions
- Expert knowledge of US GAAP and comprehensive financial statements
- Proven experience in operating and enhancing ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, etc.) in complex, multi-entity settings
- Conducted or managed 5+ external audits with a Big 4 firm, either as auditor or client
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills, capable of engaging with senior leadership
- Residing within UTC-8 to UTC+3 time zones
- Understanding of U.S. K-12 education models (private, charter, ESA programs)
- Experience in developing finance automation or AI-based workflows from the ground up
- Background in finance operations within multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction organizations
