About the role
We are looking for a dynamic, ambitious, and experienced Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to develop, implement, and recommend sales strategies for the assigned region. In this leadership role, the incumbent will lead the sales team, focusing on creating and fulfilling demand for OUP products, increasing market penetration, and achieving the region's sales goals. This includes constructing a strategic business plan based on market requirements, with detailed product forecasts and SMART promotional plans to drive the business forward.
In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for leading, motivating, and developing a team of field sales professionals through excellent coaching, professional development, talent recruitment, performance management, and ongoing training. They will also lead change management in a dynamic environment, aligning with OUP’s principles and business values.

The position will report to the Sales Director (South).

About you
The ideal candidate will be required to have the following:
• Strong school education and relevant Bachelor’s/Master’s degree.
• At least 8 to 10 years of related sales experience, including 4-5 years in a leadership role.
• Business development acumen with strong interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Excellent team mentoring, coaching, and performance management skills.
• Proficiency in the English language, including oral, written, and verbal communication/presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively across functions and cultures.
• Financial competence in managing the region's budget and analyzing regional performance.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and statistical software packages (e.g., iTrack, SPSS, SAP, or similar databases).
• A valid driving license and willingness to travel (local/international) as per business needs.
