Location: Hyderabad/Mohali

Role Overview

As the Director of Technology, you will be responsible for leading our technical strategy, driving innovation, and enhancing our technological capabilities. This role is pivotal in shaping our technical architecture, identifying and adopting the latest technologies, conducting research, and fostering innovation within the organization. This is a hands-on technical leadership role with a strong focus on strategic planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership and Strategy:
• Lead the development and implementation of the company's technical strategy in alignment with business goals.
• Drive the identification and adoption of emerging technologies that enhance our service offerings and operational efficiency.
• Conduct research and stay abreast of industry trends to recommend and implement innovative technologies.
• Architectural Oversight:
• Provide architectural guidance and oversight for all projects, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of systems.
• Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to design robust and scalable solutions.
• Capability Development:
• Innovate and develop new technical capabilities that differentiate our services in the market.
• Mentor and coach technical teams in adopting new technologies and best practices.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the engineering department.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
• Work closely with senior leadership, including the Chief Product Officer (CPO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), to align technical initiatives with business objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external technology partners.
• Team Leadership and Development:
• Manage and mentor a team of technical leaders and solution architects, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
• Provide guidance and support in technical decision-making, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide career development guidance to team members.
  
  

Desired Skills And Education

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. A postgraduate degree or MBA is a plus.
• Experience: Overall 15-18 years of progressive experience in software development industry, with at least 5 years in a senior technical leadership role.
• Technical Skills:
• Technical Architecture: Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable and secure technical architectures for complex software solutions.
• Emerging Technologies: In-depth knowledge and practical experience with emerging technologies such as cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), serverless computing, and DevOps practices.
• Software Development: Hands-on expertise in modern software development practices and frameworks, including but not limited to .Net / Java, MEAN/MERN stack, NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Emerging Technologies: Familiarity with emerging technologies such as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and their practical applications in software development.
• Innovation and Research: Demonstrated ability to conduct technology research, evaluate new tools and technologies, and drive innovation within the organization.
• Security and Compliance: Knowledge of best practices in software security, data protection, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Leadership Skills:
• Strong leadership abilities with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving ambitious goals.
• Proven ability to lead teams of technical leaders and solution architects, providing mentorship and guidance in technical decision-making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
