Position Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Lahore/Islamabad

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our dynamic project accounting team. This position will play a key role in month-end close processes, preparation of financial statements following US GAAP, and collaboration across various departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of accounting principles, a solution-oriented mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute month-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and trial balance reviews.
• Prepare quarterly financial reporting packages, including DSCR calculations, distributions, operating reports, and other key deliverables.
• Coordinate with the treasury team to perform weekly reviews of subcash accounts and monthly bank reconciliation reviews.
• Assist in the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and footnote disclosures in compliance with US GAAP.
• Maintain detailed schedules and documentation to support financial statements and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and ensure transparency and accuracy in reporting.
• Contribute to the implementation of new accounting standards and enhancements related to ERP systems.
• Propose and support process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Liaise with external auditors, providing required documentation and support throughout audit cycles.
  
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's or masters degree in accounting or finance / CA / ACCA
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant public accounting experience, or 3 years of combined industry and public accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP with the ability to research and resolve complex accounting issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and good to have experience with US based clients before.
