Senior Accountant KHI

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or other applicable accounting standards.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure its accuracy.
• Reconcile bank accounts and other general ledger accounts.
• Prepare journal entries and analyze account balances.
• Assist with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

Tax Compliance

• Prepare and file corporate tax returns and other tax filings.
• Stay updated on tax laws and regulations in Saudi Arabia.
• Advise on tax implications of business transactions.
• Assist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.

Financial Analysis

• Analyze financial data to identify trends and potential issues.
• Prepare financial reports and analysis for management.
• Provide financial insights to support business decisions.
• Conduct variance analysis to explain differences between actual and budgeted results.

Internal Controls

• Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Review and improve existing internal control procedures.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks.

Other Responsibilities

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Manage and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial support.
• Ad-hoc projects as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA) is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS or other applicable accounting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting  software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience in remote work environments is preferred.
