Senior Assistant Engineer Chemical Operations

PROBLEM ANALYSIS AND PLANT IMPROVEMENT

• To assist Manager Chemistry /Assistant Manager in plant problems analysis and propose plant improvements where necessary.
  
  

DAILY OPERATIONS

• To analyze the quality of Boiler Treated Water, Feed Water and Condensate Water and HP and LP steam water quality through samples analysis.
• To analyze the quality of Ser Vice Water, Sea Water Reverse Osmosis, Brackish water RO mixed bed / EDI outlet water and Demin storage tank through sample water analysis.
• To monitor and report the accuracy of online sampling analyzers related to chemical around the plants.
• To monitor the continuity of chemical dosing system during the plant operation
• Daily timely reading taking in log sheet and write all readings clearly and sign at the end of shift and give to shift manger to review and sign.
• Monitoring and take corrective actions in case of system abnormalities as per OEM recommendations after taking shift manager in confidence.
• To carry out predictive troubleshooting by monitoring operating parameters, reviewed data, trends, and overall integrated performance of the plant.
• Perform smartly and intelligently in case of emergency operation situation such as Total power failure situation.
• Isolating and preparing equipment for safe work with shift manager co-ordination.
  
  

3.0 CONDITION MONITORING

• To carryout condition monitoring of lubricating oil through oil sample analysis
• To carryout bulk chemicals test and analysis when required
• To carryout condition monitoring of, Effluent Waster Water and Oily Wastewater analysis.
  
  

4.0 CHEMICAL CONSUMABLES

• To monitor availability of adequate supply and optimum utilization of chemicals.
• To compile and safe keep the records of chemicals.
  
  

5.0 CHEMICAL LAB AND STORAGE

• To carry out regular test of the safety facilities/equipments in chemical lab
  
  

6.0 CHEMICAL EQUIPMENT

• To maintain chemical equipment and ensure its availability and accuracy.
• 0SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT
• To monitor and report noncompliance of station safety and environment procedures.
• To monitor and report the safe unloading of chemicals around the plant.
  
  

8.0TRAINING

• To attend training for self well being, discipline, knowledge, skill, performance and competency.
  
  

Qualification/Experience

• Diploma in Chemistry, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics.
• 5 years related work experience.
  
  

General Duties And Responsibilities

• To participate in fire drills.
• To participate in all station activities.
• To provide assistance and coordination on environmental activities.
• To understand and apply 5S (Housekeeping).
  
  

SAP SYSTEM

• To understand and optimize utilization of SAP.
