Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Heatwave Specialist to join our cloud engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing, managing, and deploying Oracle Heatwave services on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate Heatwave into our cloud solutions, ensuring optimal performance, and driving innovation using OCI’s cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and deploy Oracle Heatwave services on OCI for optimal analytics and performance.
• Optimize queries and workloads to leverage Oracle Heatwave's in-memory processing capabilities for high-performance data analytics.
• Monitor and maintain Heatwave clusters, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and fault tolerance of OCI services.
• Work with developers, data engineers, and DevOps teams to integrate Heatwave with various OCI services such as Oracle Autonomous Database, Exadata, and Big Data services.
• Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance in the implementation of Oracle Heatwave, following industry best practices.
• Automate and scale Oracle Heatwave clusters to meet the needs of dynamic workloads.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation on system architecture, processes, and configurations.
  
  
  

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong emphasis on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and MySQL Enterprise.
• Hands-on experience with Heatwave for accelerated query performance and data analytics on OCI.
• Proven ability to build and manage data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration solutions using OCI services.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture and data engineering best practices on Oracle Cloud, including scalability, security, and high availability.
• Strong SQL skills, particularly with MySQL Enterprise, and proficiency in performance tuning and query optimization.
• Experience with cloud-based data storage solutions, including object storage, block storage, and Oracle Autonomous Database.
• Proficiency in a programming language such as Python or Java for data manipulation and automation.
• Solid understanding of software development practices, including version control, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.
  
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with OCI-specific tools and services, such as Oracle Data Integrator, Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle Analytics Cloud, and Oracle Data Flow.
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and experience migrating or integrating data between them and OCI.
• Oracle Cloud certification(s) related to data engineering, database administration, or cloud architecture.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB, and their integration with MySQL.
