Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced **QA Lead** to spearhead the quality assurance efforts for Transact Core Banking systems. The successful candidate will lead a team of 15-25 QA professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software through meticulous testing, including SIT, QAT, and UAT. With a strong background in banking systems and testing automation, the QA Lead will play a pivotal role in enhancing system reliability and performance while driving a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• • Team Leadership

• • Lead and mentor a diverse QA team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• • Define clear goals, roles, and performance metrics for team members.
• • Provide ongoing training, feedback, and succession planning to build team capabilities.

• • Test Management:

• • Plan, manage, and execute comprehensive SIT, QAT, and UAT phases for core banking and peripheral systems.
• • Develop and enforce robust test strategies, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• • Oversee automation framework implementation for functional and performance testing using tools like Selenium, JMeter, and IBM Rational Performance Tester.

• • Quality Assurance Processes:

• • Establish and optimize QA processes to meet regulatory and banking compliance standards.
• • Implement risk-based testing and ensure thorough validation of critical systems and workflows.
• • Perform periodic reviews of test results, defect reports, and overall QA metrics to ensure alignment with SLAs and KPIs.

• • Stakeholder Collaboration:

• • Act as the primary liaison between the QA team and stakeholders, including developers, business analysts, and project managers.
• • Provide clear communication on testing progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
• • Drive stakeholder engagement to align QA activities with business and technical objectives.

• • Continuous Improvement:

• • Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge QA tools, methodologies, and best practices.
• • Drive process improvements to enhance test coverage, efficiency, and accuracy.
• • Monitor team performance and implement strategies to address challenges and optimize outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

• • Experience:

• • 10+ years of progressive experience in QA roles, with a focus on banking and financial systems.
• • At least 5 years of experience managing QA teams in complex environments.

• • Technical Expertise:

• • Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JMeter, JUnit/NUnit, Rational Performance Tester).
• • Strong knowledge of ALM tools such as Azure DevOps, TFS, JIRA or similar.
• • Hands-on experience with performance testing, load testing, and regression testing.

• • Banking Knowledge:

• • In-depth understanding of banking processes, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment in QA.
• • Proven track record in core banking systems testing, including Transact upgrades and migrations.
