Senior Lead Software Engineer

Knowledge and Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP and the Laravel PHP Framework
• Hands-on experience with MySQL schema design, Solid principles, and REST API design
• Software testing
• MySQL profiling and query optimization
• Creative and efficient problem solver
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, Code Commit
• Familiarity with AWS
• Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development process
• Data mining, analysis, and custom reports generation based on requirements
• Knowledge of working with WebSocket

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge, web-based PHP applications.
• Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications while collaborating with the User Experience (UX) team.
• Utilize backend data services and enhance existing API data services.
• Lead the entire web application development lifecycle, from concept to delivery and post-launch support.
• Lead and mentor the application development team, ensuring alignment with project goals and company standards.
• Assign tasks, manage workloads, and ensure efficient collaboration within the team.
• Provide guidance and technical support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Prepare and maintain all applications using standard development tools and methodologies.
• Document the development process, architecture, and standard components to ensure clarity and maintainability.
• Coordinate effectively with co-developers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth progress on projects.
• Keep the Project Manager well-informed of the development status, including task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules, and any technical or process-related issues.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices and processes.
• Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in web development.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, debugging, and support for delivered applications to ensure optimal performance.
• Participate in the strategic planning of web application initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
• Evaluate team performance and identify opportunities for skill development and growth.

Qualifications and Experience required

• BS-IT/BS-CS/BS-SE OR Bachelor's degree in any relevant field
• At least 5 years of experience using PHP-Laravel
• At least 2 years of experience with Vue.js
• At least 1 year of experience as a Team Lead
• Experience with Serverless like AWS: 2 years of proficiency
• Experience with Docker: 2 years of proficiency
• Experienced with leading a Tech Team: Minimum 1 year
• Have knowledge and hands-on experience with Scrum, Sprint Designing, etc
• If the candidate is working in a product-based company, it will be a plus.
