Job Summary:

Serve as a strategic legal partner to business teams, providing practical legal advice, drafting and reviewing documents, and ensuring compliance to support informed decision-making and the achievement of organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting the legal team with various corporate legal matters.
• Drafting a wide range of legal documents (e.g., letters, agreements, forms, notices and etc.) and legal opinions as assigned by the Head of Legal.
• Providing day-to-day legal support and advice on routine matters as part of the legal team.
• Providing assistance with litigation matters and other legal disputes, including liaising with external counsel as needed.
• Assist with corporate secretarial duties, including maintaining statutory records and coordinating board meetings.
• Conduct legal research and provide advice on a wide range of legal issues affecting the company’s operations.
• Contribute to the development and updating of internal legal policies and procedures.
• Working closely and effectively with business teams to provide legal support and assist in reviewing templated agreements, negotiating and finalizing the same, including without limitation, services agreements, tenancy agreements, NDAs, vendor agreements, addendums to agreements, MOUs, etc.
• Conducting trainings on key legal topics to support business objectives.

Required Skills / Abilities:

• Minimum qualification of LLB and with 1 - 3 years of post-qualification experience in a top tier law firm or as an in-house counsel at a reputable company.
• Strong time management, prioritization and organizational skills.
• Excellent research and analytical skills on legal propositions.
• Ability to work independently and in a team to manage multiple/diverse stakeholders while using sound judgment, initiative, discretion and a proactive approach to work.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with lawyers, international colleagues, and business clients at all levels as a team player.
• Ability to work on and meet deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle work with utmost integrity.
