Senior Officer – Internal Audit

Position Summary

The position of senior internal auditor will be responsible for executing Enabling function audit activities assigned by Team Lead. This responsibility includes preparing detailed working papers for assigned areas, communicate with the auditee, document audit findings and ensure those are agreed upon by the process owners. Additionally, the senior internal auditor performs follow-up on the status of outstanding internal audit issues. The senior internal auditor may often direct and review the work performed by subordinate internal audit personnel.

• Understanding of internal control concepts and experience in applying them to plan, perform, manage and report on the evaluation of various business processes/areas/functions.
• Ability to work independently, with limited direction and guidance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, to effectively present to peers and management.
• Understanding internal auditing standards, COSO and risk assessment practices.
• Basic understanding of the technical aspects of accounting and financial reporting.
  
  

Education And Relevant Experience

• Graduation degree in accounting/finance
• Professional certification as CPA/CIA will be a plus
• 3+ years’ experience of working in Finance or Audit department of MSE or above
