Job Overview

We’re looking for a highly skilled, detail-oriented Senior Shopify Developer to lead the development of high-performance eCommerce stores. The ideal candidate is fluent in Shopify Liquid, theme customization, CRO and performance optimization, with a strong sense of design and conversion principles. You’ll collaborate with designers, marketers, and strategists to bring premium eCommerce experiences to life from concept to launch.

This is a key technical role where you’ll combine development expertise, CRO understanding, and creative problem-solving to deliver scalable and visually stunning Shopify stores.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Shopify development: custom themes, sections, and functionality using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Convert Figma designs or wireframes into pixel-perfect, responsive Shopify themes.
• Implement advanced features: product customization, metafields, bundles, upsells, and subscription logic.
• Optimize store speed, SEO structure, and mobile experience for maximum conversion and performance.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain existing stores while ensuring scalability and code cleanliness.
• Collaborate daily with designers, marketers, and clients to meet project timelines.
• Integrate with third-party apps, APIs, and marketing tools (Klaviyo, GA4, Hotjar, etc.).
• Conduct ongoing A/B testing and conversion optimization experiments.

Project Management

• Manage multiple Shopify builds and updates simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Work within sprint cycles, ensure timely delivery, and maintain documentation in Notion or similar tools.
• Communicate technical insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Shopify Expertise: 4+ years of professional experience building, customizing, and maintaining Shopify stores.
• Strong Front-End Skills: Proficient in Liquid, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and JSON.
• Conversion-Driven Mindset: Familiar with CRO frameworks and UX/UI best practices for eCommerce.
• Performance & SEO: Experience optimizing Core Web Vitals, schema, and site structure.
• App Integration: Skilled in connecting apps like Klaviyo, Recharge, Yotpo, and custom API setups.
• Soft Skills: Excellent English communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Headless Shopify (Hydrogen, Next.js, or similar).
• Understanding of GA4, Facebook Pixel, and conversion tracking setup.
• Familiarity with Git workflows and Shopify CLI.
• Degree in Computer Science related field.
