Job Summary

Responsible for developing appropriate Talent Acquisition strategies and managing the end-to-end Talent Acquisition process to deliver agreed targets for roles assigned, ensuring that the right candidates are recruited, at the right time, at the right price.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver innovative sourcing strategies and solutions to meet business growth needs and generate diverse pools of applicants whilst closely controlling cost bases
  • Acting as an advisor to Hiring Managers to establish precise hiring needs and establishing a solid understanding of the function
  • Lead on driving the localization targets through hiring for Pakistan
  • Meet turnaround times and quality standards in line with global standards and service level agreement
  • Ensure delivery (at the right quality & cost) of direct sourcing targets for the country
  • Drive culture change to embed greater hiring manager discipline in all aspects of the talent acquisition process
  • Supervise completion of pre-employment checks with external vendors, ensuring candidates provide required information in a timely manner, regularly monitoring the third party’s completion of all pre-employment checks in line with SLAs
  • Effectively and efficiently use the hiring portal (myRecruiting) to manage the end-to-end talent acquisition process
  • Review dashboards and other reports to identify and action any necessary system ‘housekeeping’ or compliance requirements
  • Improve candidate conversion rates (first offer made to acceptance ratio) through effectively diagnosing and selling the most relevant points for each individual
  • Ensure all required approvals are obtained before offers are made
  • Proactively search for, identify, network with and directly contact active and passive job seekers, both internally and externally, for hard-to-hire, evergreen and specific vacancies, sourcing the very best candidates using a variety of channels that are aligned to and effectively communicate the employer brand including:
  • Online advertising (careers website, external job board postings) and automated electronic candidate searches.
  • Database mining, using social networking sites etc
  • Develop multi-hire sourcing approaches and work in partnership with colleagues across the network to tap in to overseas sourcing channels and co-ordinate global campaigns
  • Participate in intern, graduate and recruitment events and activities (e.g. careers fairs), as required
  • Escalate any issues and risks, as appropriate so that they can be appropriately tracked and managed
  • Manage and execute end to end Talent Acquisition projects independently
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct
  • Provide ad hoc support to the Head, Talent Acquisition, Pakistan as required
  • Monitoring the hiring localization targets in Pakistan
  • Analyse dashboards, reports to proactively monitor and interpret internal and external conditions to deliver operational excellence
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of operational risks in areas of responsibility
  • Proactive risk management; remain vigilant in identifying and managing forward-looking risks, flagging potential problems to relevant stakeholders in advance of issues arising
  • Management and execution of TA related Country and Group led Projects
  • Responsible for Assisting Country TA risk related activities like performance of CST’s (Control Sample Testing), ensuring regulatory requirements of TA vendors, contract renewals of vendors, conducting service review meetings with vendors etc. and updating all processes and policies of Talent Acquisition
  • Responsible for being the point of contact with internal & external Auditors
  • Build and demonstrate technical and market knowledge of the particular business unit(s) serviced, keeping abreast of changes

Skills And Experience

  • Position holder must have relevant experience with a specialized skillset in Talent Acquisition preferably in the Banking industry and headhunting agencies. HR Business Partner experience will also be considered.
  • Has the ability and experience to source quality candidates in-line with business requirements, conduct interviews, prepare competitive salary packages and has the skills to negotiate compensation packages with the candidates
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Experience in using ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) and HR databases also proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint as well
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Exposure to the full recruitment cycle (Sourcing, Interviewing, Screening, Offer Management, Reward Proposals)
