Specialist IMS (QA)

PURPOSE:

Responsible for implementing the key processes required for the effective Audits Function across Descon and to ensure that Integrated Management System (IMS), requirements are met at all levels of the organization.

Foster continuous improvement of Quality Systems and develop skills accordingly. Actively pursue achievement of required certification(s) and ensure renewal and protection of existing ISO certifications within the limits of Descon corporate guidelines. Ensure implementation of the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) initiative in the company, based upon industry best practices and requirements.

Conduct and facilitate internal (IMS), Project and Third-party audits. Schedule, organize, conduct and evaluate trainings and orientations on quality systems with the objective to ensure compliance with procedures. Develop and implement quality related processes.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Undertake Planning and Auditing activities for the effective implementation of Integrated Management System. Document these processes necessary to the extent to assure their effective operation. Liaison with Third-party certification bodies for company’s certification.
2. Plan and conduct audits and circulate audit summary report. Maintain records of Audit summary report and CARs/NCRs and proactive follow up for the closeouts of the same to ensure compliance within committed target dates.
3. Support Functions, Departments, Business Units and Divisions in ensuring the effectiveness of the audit management systems and develop schemes to improve upon the processes.
4. Recommend techniques to the Auditee / process owners for continuous improvement based on best practices as well as Industry requirements.
5. Propose processes which minimize the reliance on CARs/NCRs for identification of Non-Conformances and move towards effective planning techniques that may highlight Preventive Actions to be taken.
6. Accountable to create a safe working environment, manage risks, reduce exposure to hazardous liability and ensure implementation of relevant policies.
7. Comply with all QA&QC standards (IMS documents) as applicable to the company systems, policies, procedures, and documents to deliver the expected quality of work.
8. Stay informed about emerging applicable standards, trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation within the organization.
9. Review and report on the performance of reporting staff and take initiatives to improve their technical and management skills.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Masters / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Should possess 3~4 Years of experience in relevant business.
• Lead Auditor QMS - ISO 9001:2015 certification, awareness of EMS - ISO 14001: 2015 and OHSMS - ISO 45001:2018 standards.
• Good knowledge of Quality Standards and IMS Auditing.
• Experience of EPC & Construction project management, project management principles & practices.
• Good command of EPC & Construction project related QA&QC activities.
• Experience in International Standards, Auditing Skills, Know-how of external certification bodies standard practices and Documentation System Development Skills.
• Good report writing and presentation skills, Communication skills and Interpersonal skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, decision making, conflict resolution, Good people and Time Management skills.
