Responsibilities

Provide necessary assistance to boiler engineer in ensuring safe operation of boilers/chillers and implementing preventive and breakdown maintenance activaties related to steam generation and distribution.

Specifically, You Will Be Responsible To

• assist engineer in safe operation and maintenance of boilers/chillers and related equipment in shifts
• arrange materials and other logistic beforehand for scheduled PPMs and work shoulder to shoulder with engineer to meet emergency breakdown situation
• identify major problems of plants and monitor rectification of the same in consulation with engineer
• thorough inspection of boilers/chillers and ancillary equipment for ensuring safety of equipment and manpower in plant room
• ensuring adherence to plant safety programs and meeting performance standards
• interact with maintenance control room and engineer for feedback and initiate action
• monitor and manage staff and provide training to them on critical equipment in plant room
• promote safety
• any other related task as assigned by engineer.
  
  

Requirements

• First Class Boiler Attendant (Mandatory)/ First Class Boiler Supervisor
• Diploma in mechanical technology, preferred
• more than 10 years of related work experience of managing steam generation and distribution system in a process plant, hotel or hospital environment
• knowledge about safe operation and maintenance of boilers/chillers and ancilliary equipment
• good skills of leading a team
• good communication skills
