Role description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Unified Communication and Collaboration Engineer with advanced expertise in Microsoft 365 (M365), Exchange Online, Entra ID, DLP, OneDrive, SharePoint, MS Teams, and mobile device security. This role is critical in supporting and enhancing communication and collaboration services within the BFSI sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing unified communication solutions, ensuring compliance, security, and high availability across collaboration platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Unified Communication & Messaging
- Manage and maintain Exchange Online, shared mailboxes, and Mimecast for email security and compliance.
- Configure and enforce Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies to safeguard sensitive information.
- Administer Microsoft Teams, including Chat, Meetings, Dial Pad, VOIP, and Voice Recording solutions such as Verba, to drive enterprise-wide collaboration.
- Support Session Border Controllers (SBC) and voice gateways to enable seamless telephony integration.
- Ensure compliance with voice recording policies and maintain regulatory standards within the BFSI environment.
Collaboration & Productivity
- Oversee OneDrive and SharePoint administration to facilitate document management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Implement and manage Power Platform solutions (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) to streamline workflows and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) for effective identity and access management.
Mobile Device & Endpoint Security
- Oversee Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions for both corporate-owned and BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) environments.
- Manage JAMF for Mac devices, ensuring security policies are in line with corporate standards.
- Define and enforce mobile security policies to protect critical enterprise data.
Operations & Compliance
- Monitor and maintain the system performance, availability, and security of Unified Communication platforms.
- Work closely with Information Security (InfoSec) and compliance teams to ensure strict adherence to BFSI security and regulatory standards.
- Resolve incidents and perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews for communication and collaboration issues.
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning and execution to ensure continuous communication service availability.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Unified Communication & Collaboration technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of Exchange Online, M365, Mimecast, DLP, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Power Platform.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, and Identity & Access Management (IAM) principles.
- Expertise in Microsoft Teams, VOIP, Voice Recording (Verba), SBC, and voice gateway management.
- Strong practical experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions such as Intune and JAMF, and mobile device security protocols.
- Familiarity with managing Mac devices and creating BYOD security frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a solid understanding of the BFSI domain.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator Associate
- JAMF Certified Administrator (for Mac device management)
- Experience working within a regulated BFSI environment with compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SOX, PCI-DSS).
Soft Skills & Leadership
- Strong ability to engage stakeholders and make informed, business-oriented decisions.
- Proven track record of driving collaboration adoption and delivering end-user training across the enterprise.
- Exceptional troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis (RCA) capabilities.
