Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (CST)

Sagan represents a trusted plumbing company in the Chicagoland region for over 30 years. The companys website is built using Go-lang and JavaScript/Node.js. The organization is seeking a highly skilled Website Performance and Development Engineer to optimize the websites functionality, performance, and user experience while supporting the broader goals of the digital marketing team.

Position Overview:

As the Website Performance and Development Engineer, you will take full ownership of the website's technical performance, security, and optimization. This role combines strategic oversight with technical expertise to enhance user experience, SEO performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Website Development and Maintenance:

• Develop and maintain front-end and back-end website components.
• Write clean, scalable code, and debug issues effectively.
• Optimize databases for performance and reliability.
  
  
  

Website Optimization:

• Analyze web performance metrics and implement actionable improvements.
• Optimize for SEO to improve rankings and search visibility.
• Enhance user experience to drive conversions and engagement.
  
  
  

Server and Security Management:

• Manage live and development servers for uptime and reliability.
• Address server and database issues and ensure security compliance.
  
  
  

Landing Page Development:

• Design and implement landing pages tailored for marketing campaigns.
  
  
  

Analytics and Reporting:

• Regularly report on website performance and provide data-driven insights.
• Conduct A/B testing and implement enhancements based on results.
  
  
  

API Development and Integration:

• Ensure seamless integration of APIs with front-end systems, enhancing functionality and user experience.
• Build and maintain custom APIs to support internal systems and external integrations.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

Must-Haves:

• Proven experience as a full-stack developer with expertise in Node.js and Go-lang.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Strong understanding of database management systems (MySQL, MongoDB).
• Practical knowledge of technical SEO best practices.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and suggest improvements.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with React for front-end projects.
• Experience in digital marketing and conversion rate optimization.
