Responsibilities:

  • Edit and produce high-quality YouTube videos, ensuring all content aligns with brand guidelines and audience preferences.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and implement new ideas and concepts for video content.
  • Utilize video editing software to assemble recorded footage into a finished project that suits the channel's vision.
  • Make improvements and/or suggestions on editing workflow for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Enhance video content through the addition of effects, graphics, and sound design.
  • Maintain an organized library of all digital assets and project files.
  • Ensure videos are edited to enhance viewer engagement and deliver on required timeframes.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in video editing and YouTube content creation.


Requirements:

  • Proven work experience (3-5 years) as a video editor specializing in YouTube content.
  • Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing previous editing work, particularly for YouTube.
  • Excellent understanding of timing, motivation, and continuity in editing.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
  • Detailed-oriented with a creative mindset and a passion for storytelling.


Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Film, Media, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of video formats, codecs, and transcoding.
  • Familiarity with YouTubes algorithm, requirements, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of graphic design and motion graphics is a plus.
  • Ability to take constructive criticism and feedback effectively.
