FIH Consultancy is an operations and GTM consultancy helping international clients streamline their processes, build scalable systems, and run data-driven operations. We work with SaaS, logistics, and tech-enabled companies to design workflows, implement tools, and provide ongoing ops support.

We are currently hiring a Business Development Manager (Freelance Platforms) for our Islamabad office. This role is ideal for someone experienced in managing and growing client pipelines through platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, and similar freelance marketplaces. You will be the front-facing growth arm of the consultancy — building profiles, submitting proposals, qualifying leads, and converting prospects into retained clients.


Role Overview


As a Business Development Manager (Freelance Platforms), you will manage and grow FIH's presence across Upwork, Fiverr, and other freelance platforms. Your responsibilities include profile optimization, job discovery, proposal writing, client qualification, and pipeline management. You will work closely with the founder and delivery team to scope engagements and hand off closed clients.

This is a sales-oriented, metrics-driven role requiring strong written English, consultative communication, and a structured approach to lead generation.


Key Responsibilities:


Profile & Storefront Management

  • Maintain and optimise FIH's profiles across Upwork, Fiverr, and other freelance platforms
  • Update portfolio items, skills tags, service descriptions, and pricing tiers
  • Ensure brand consistency across all platform touchpoints

Job Discovery & Bidding

  • Monitor daily job postings relevant to FIH's service categories (process automation, recruitment automation, staff outsourcing)
  • Identify and prioritise high-potential opportunities using a structured job bucketing system
  • Write tailored, consultative proposals that clearly articulate value and scope

Client Qualification & Conversion

  • Conduct initial discovery calls or messages to qualify leads
  • Evaluate client budget, scope, timeline, and decision-making authority
  • Route qualified opportunities to the founder (Irtaza) for pricing and scope approval
  • Follow up on pending proposals and nurture warm leads

Pipeline Management

  • Track all proposals, responses, and conversions in a structured pipeline
  • Maintain a clean record of active, won, lost, and paused opportunities
  • Report weekly on key metrics: proposals sent, response rate, conversion rate, revenue won

Market Research & Positioning

  • Monitor competitor profiles, pricing, and positioning on freelance platforms
  • Identify emerging service categories or niches where FIH can differentiate
  • Provide feedback to refine service offerings and platform strategy


Requirements

Experience & Knowledge

  • Proven experience winning clients through Upwork, Fiverr, or similar freelance platforms
  • Strong written English — able to write clear, persuasive, and error-free proposals
  • Understanding of how freelance platform algorithms and ranking systems work
  • Experience with CRM or pipeline tracking tools (e.g., HubSpot, Notion, simple spreadsheets)
  • Comfortable working with structured workflows and reporting metrics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to handle rejection and maintain consistent outreach volume


Nice to Have

  • Experience in recruitment, process automation, or operations consulting services
  • Familiarity with tools like Clay, n8n, GoHighLevel, or Instantly
  • Prior experience in B2B sales, lead generation, or business development
  • Understanding of staffing/talent placement sales cycles
