GSF Services SMC PVT LTD is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Custom Clearance Officer with at least one year of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will handle the entire process of custom documentation management, ensuring compliance with import and export regulations. This role requires coordinating shipment inspections, conducting thorough risk assessments, and preparing regulatory reports to facilitate smooth and timely customs clearance. The officer will use document management systems and custom workflow automation tools to optimize processes and maintain accurate records. Effective communication skills and proficiency in English are essential to liaise with stakeholders and ensure compliance with legal requirements.

The Custom Clearance Officer will work independently without managing a team, focusing on maintaining accuracy and efficiency in customs operations. The role demands a strong attention to detail to verify documentation, evaluate shipments, and handle the imaging and storage of documents securely. The officer will collaborate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and internal departments to resolve issues and expedite customs procedures. This position is pivotal to supporting the companys supply chain and logistics operations by minimizing clearance delays and ensuring regulatory adherence.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review custom clearance documentation to ensure compliance with import and export regulations.
• Coordinate shipment inspections and liaise with customs authorities and freight forwarders for timely clearance.
• Conduct risk assessments on shipments and flag potential issues or discrepancies.
• Maintain and organize records using document management systems and document imaging technologies.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports related to customs activities and shipment clearances.
• Implement and utilize custom workflow automation tools to streamline customs processing.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to resolve customs-related queries.
• Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and procedures to ensure continuous compliance.
