Design Engineer - Process Equipment

Our client Qadbros Engineering is seeking a talented and motivated Design Engineer – Process Equipment for a permanent, onsite opportunity. Key Responsibilities

• Design and perform structural and mechanical analysis of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and other process equipment. Ensure designs meet safety, performance, and regulatory standards (ASME, API, TEMA).
• Prepare design calculations, fabrication drawings, datasheets, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for the manufacturing process. Ensure the documentation is clear, complete, and in compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with processes; QA/QC, procurement, and production teams to ensure the design is implemented effectively and fabrication issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Select appropriate materials for the design of process equipment, ensuring compliance with ASME, API, and TEMA codes, and client-specific requirements.
• Provide ongoing technical support to the production team during the fabrication process. Resolve design-related issues, assist in inspections, and ensure equipment testing meets required standards.
• Continuously improve design processes and efficiency by exploring innovative solutions, optimizing designs, and implementing cost-saving strategies.

Required Qualifications:

Experience

• 5-8 years of experience in the design of process equipment.

Education

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Skills

• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of pressure vessel design, heat exchangers, and storage tanks.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks, Ansys, PV Elite, or similar design tools.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to solve complex design and engineering problems.
• Decision Making & Problem Solving: Ability to make decisions under pressure and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Communication & Teamwork: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
