Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Associate to join our growing team. This position is ideal for individuals with fresh to 2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related fields. As a Finance Associate, you will assist in various financial operations and help ensure the smooth functioning of our finance department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily financial operations including processing transactions, maintaining records, and reconciling accounts.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all entries are accurate and completed on time.
  • Prepare and analyse financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment follow-ups.
  • Monitor financial data for accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other statutory filings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
  • Participate in audits and assist in providing requested documentation and reports.
  • Assist with the implementation of financial systems and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Fresh graduate with a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (or up to 2 years of professional experience in finance or accounting).
  • Basic understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., Zero, QuickBooks) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the finance department.
  • Preferred Skills (optional):
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
  • Familiarity with financial modelling and analysis techniques.
  • Previous internship or work experience in finance is a plus.
