About Mous

We are Mous. (Pronounced mouse, not moose.) People deserve tech and lifestyle products that are fit for purpose, perform as promised, and empower them to be their best. That’s why we’re building the go-to brand for products that genuinely deliver.

For over 10 years, we’ve pushed product performance to its limits, designing from first principles, validating through real-world testing, and investing millions in R&D. In parallel, we’ve built world-class in-house marketing capabilities, creating highly engaging, performance-led content that proves what our products can do and resonates with a passionate, fast-growing community around the brand.

From throwing phones off dams to launching category-defining products, our ambition is simple: raise the standard of the industry and build one of the most effective consumer brands in the world.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Human Resource Operations Lead to take ownership of the Human Resource strategy and operational performance of our Pakistan office.

This is not a traditional HR role. You will operate as a commercially minded business partner to leadership, ensuring our PK office scales effectively while maintaining Mous’ high-performance culture.

You will translate global priorities into local execution, building the systems, talent pipelines, and management frameworks that allow teams to perform at their best, and with clarity, speed and strong business execution. From hiring exceptional people, to shaping organisational design, to supporting leaders through complex people decisions, you will play a critical role in ensuring the PK office operates as a high-performing and strategically aligned part of the global business.

This role also offers significant long-term growth, with a potential pathway toward Chief of Staff or General Manager of the Pakistan office as the business continues to scale.

Please note that this role will be situated at our office in Lahore (Upper Mall), working on-site from Monday-Thursday, with Friday being an optional WFH day. The normal working hours will be 10am - 7pm PKT.

About You

You’re someone who sees Human Resource Operations as a driver of business performance, not just a support function. You enjoy building systems that help teams operate more effectively and thrive in fast-paced environments where priorities evolve quickly.

You’re comfortable working closely with senior leaders, advising on difficult people decisions, and balancing fairness with high performance expectations. Most importantly, you genuinely enjoy helping teams succeed – building an environment where talented people can do their best work and grow quickly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute the Human Resource strategy for the Pakistan office, ensuring alignment with global company priorities
  • Lead hiring and workforce planning, ensuring the office attracts and retains high-calibre talent
  • Oversee performance management frameworks, promotions, succession planning, and capability development
  • Manage HR operations, including payroll, benefits, contracts, compliance, and policy implementation
  • Lead compensation reviews and benchmarking, ensuring fairness and market competitiveness
  • Handle employee relations and complex people matters with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Drive initiatives that strengthen culture, engagement, and employee experience
  • Use data and analytics to identify people trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Partner with leadership to support organisational design, team structure, and strategic initiatives
  • Oversee office operations and employee experience to ensure a productive and collaborative environment
  • Manage and develop the local People Operations team, setting clear priorities and raising performance standards

How will success be measured?

  • Building a high-performing team – critical roles filled within target timelines, strong hiring manager satisfaction, and high probation success rates
  • Strong retention and organisational stability – voluntary attrition maintained below 10%, with clear retention and succession plans for key roles
  • Disciplined and efficient hiring processes – active pipelines for priority roles and clear role expectations established for all new hires
  • Robust performance management – every employee operating against documented development plans, with consistent reviews and timely action on underperformance
  • Consistent and scalable People processes – clear KPIs across hiring, onboarding, probation, performance, promotions, succession, and exits
  • Accurate and compliant HR operations – payroll, contracts, benefits, and employee records managed with complete accuracy and full regulatory compliance
  • Fair and competitive compensation frameworks – market-informed salary benchmarking and performance-linked pay aligned with Mous’ global philosophy
  • Trusted strategic People partnership – providing leadership with clear, data-driven insight on talent, performance, culture, and organisational design

Skills requirements:

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Strategic but practical – able to translate high-level goals into clear operational plans
  • Commercially aware – understands how people decisions impact business performance and has a good grasp of trade-offs.
  • Highly organised and process-driven – able to build scalable systems and frameworks
  • A strong communicator who can influence both employees and senior leaders
  • Emotionally intelligent, able to handle difficult conversations with fairness and professionalism
  • Action-oriented, comfortable making decisions and driving initiatives forward
  • A genuine people person who cares deeply about building strong teams

Requirements:

  • 6–10 years of experience in Human Resource Operations, HR Business Partnering, or operational leadership roles
  • Strong experience across talent management, performance management, and HR operations
  • Proven experience managing teams or leading cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience handling employee relations and complex people issues
  • Strong analytical ability and comfort using data to inform decisions
  • Experience working closely with senior leadership or founders
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced and ambiguous environments

Nice to have:

  • Experience in consulting, startups, or high-growth SMEs
  • Experience operating within high-growth companies or scale-ups
  • Experience with compensation benchmarking or salary market analysis
  • Exposure to organisational design or workforce planning at scale
  • Experience managing HR systems or HR analytics tools
  • Background in tech, product, or consumer brands
  • Experience using TestGorilla and Teamtailor recruitment software
