Our client Midjac is looking for a IT Manager - Infrastructure & Security in Islamabad

The IT Admin at Midjac plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining the companys information technology infrastructure to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations. This position requires overseeing network administration, system monitoring, server and security management, and providing timely troubleshooting and support. With a focus on efficiency and security, the IT Admin is responsible for managing the entire IT department and collaborating with a small team of two professionals to optimize system performance and safeguard company data.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of relevant experience in the IT field and holds a graduate degree. This role demands strong organizational skills and the ability to implement IT asset management and firewall configuration measures. The IT Admin also ensures that all hardware and software components meet company standards and remain compliant with best practices. Managing the team of two, the IT Admin delegates tasks and provides guidance to maintain a reliable and secure IT environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the IT department and a team of two staff members to ensure efficient IT operations.
• Oversee network administration tasks, including configuring, maintaining, and monitoring company networks to prevent downtime and maintain performance.
• Implement and monitor system performance and health checks, identifying and resolving technical issues proactively.
• Administer and maintain company servers and related infrastructure to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
• Maintain security management practices by overseeing firewall configuration, access controls, and vulnerability assessments to protect organizational data.
• Provide timely troubleshooting and support to resolve hardware, software, and network issues affecting company operations.
• Manage IT asset lifecycle including procurement, inventory tracking, and disposal to optimize resource utilization.
• Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures in compliance with company standards to safeguard technology resources.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for equipment maintenance, upgrades, and system support.
• Ensure backup systems and disaster recovery plans are in place and regularly tested to prevent data loss.
• Train and support team members on new technologies and IT processes to maintain team competency.
• Stay updated with the latest technology trends and industry best practices to recommend improvements.
