Job Description
Aqovia is hunting for an analytical, process-driven PMO to design, implement, and lead our centralized Project Management Office structure. You will be responsible for defining delivery standards, establishing governance frameworks, and driving project excellence across Aqovia’s portfolio, with a heavy emphasis on our landmark LMS project. In this role, you will bring operational discipline, metric tracking, and standardized reporting mechanisms to our cross-functional tech delivery tracks. By building a world-class PMO function, you will ensure our AI and EdTech programs are executed predictably, transparently, and in strict accordance with client compliance standards.

Job Description
Aqovia is hunting for an analytical, process-driven PMO to design, implement, and lead our centralized Project Management Office structure. You will be responsible for defining delivery standards, establishing governance frameworks, and driving project excellence across Aqovia’s portfolio, with a heavy emphasis on our landmark LMS project. In this role, you will bring operational discipline, metric tracking, and standardized reporting mechanisms to our cross-functional tech delivery tracks. By building a world-class PMO function, you will ensure our AI and EdTech programs are executed predictably, transparently, and in strict accordance with client compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, deploy, and continuously optimize standardized project management methodologies, templates, and governance frameworks across the company.
- Champion project tracking and pipeline visibility for LMS initiative, ensuring strict alignment with contractual KPIs and project health guidelines.
- Aggregate status inputs, resource allocations, and risk logs across multiple tech streams into cohesive master status reports for senior management.
- Implement rigorous scope-change control workflows and risk escalation channels to protect delivery timelines and manage client expectations.
- Audit and assess project performance metrics, tracking variances against agreed budgets, baseline schedules, and human capital allocations.
- Facilitate resource planning and capacity management, resolving cross-project resource constraints across active engineering squads.
- Train and mentor project managers, project coordinators, and operational staff on internal project management standards and governance tools.
Essential Requirements
- 4–5 years of dedicated experience working within or leading a Project Management Office (PMO) in an information technology, software, or corporate consulting environment.
- Deep knowledge of modern project management frameworks, including traditional Waterfall governance alongside Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Advanced proficiency in utilizing project management and workflow configuration toolsets (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Asana, or Smartsheet).
- Proven experience establishing project health scorecards, operational KPIs, and executive reporting frameworks for multi-stakeholder portfolios.
- Professional communication skills are essential. Candidates must possess excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively manage business interactions and maintain a professional tone in all commercial correspondence.
- Experience managing PMO processes for large-scale enterprise systems, government digital initiatives, or major public-sector deployments.
- Relevant project governance certifications such as PMP, PMO-CP, PRINCE2, or Scrum Alliance credentials.
- Foundational understanding of digital learning systems, the Moodle framework, or modern EdTech application lifecycles.
- Strong capabilities in budget forecasting, cost-variance analysis, and contract compliance monitoring.
- Prior experience operating in a strategic venture incubator or dynamic multi-subsidiary tech ecosystem.
