Our Client is a U.K based start up specifically in the domain of Legal Practice Management Software for LAW Firms. They are looking to hire a QA Engineer (Manual & Automation) with with great skillset having minimum 4 years of experience. Following are the other details;
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer with at least 4 years of software testing experience to join our development team. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of the Linq Legal application by performing comprehensive manual testing, developing automated test scripts, validating APIs, and producing high-quality test documentation.
You should have a strong eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work closely with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
•Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing of the Linq Legal applications.
•Validate new features and enhancements across different browsers and devices.
•Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business requirements.
•Identify, document, prioritise, and track software defects through to resolution.
•Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve test coverage and reduce manual effort.
•Execute automated test suites as part of the development and release process.
•Test REST APIs using Postman, Swagger, or similar API testing tools.
•Validate API responses, authentication, error handling, and data integrity.
•Work closely with developers to reproduce, investigate, and verify bug fixes.
•Ensure software quality standards are maintained throughout the development lifecycle.
•Produce clear and comprehensive QA documentation, including:
oTest Plans
oTest Cases
oTest Reports
oDefect Reports
oUser Acceptance Testing (UAT) support documentation
Required Skills & Experience
•4 years of experience in software quality assurance.
•Strong experience in manual testing of web applications.
•Experience creating and maintaining test automation scripts using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
•Experience testing REST APIs using Postman or equivalent tools.
•Good understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC.
•Experience with bug tracking and project management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Strong documentation skills with attention to detail.
•Ability to work independently and manage testing activities across multiple projects.
Desirable Skills
•Experience testing legal, financial, or business applications.
•Knowledge of React framework.
•Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration.
