Senior Analyst – Rules

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Document Specialist with strong interpersonal and analytical abilities to join our Rules Product Team based in Pakistan or India.

This is a cross-functional role that requires deep expertise in Trade Finance and hands-on experience in managing incoming Letters of Credit (LCs) and Amendments.

The successful candidate will contribute to enhancing our AI-driven trade document checking platform by transforming trade expertise into structured rule logic, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

You will work closely with Product and Technology teams to enhance the platform’s capabilities, improve automation, and deliver best-in-class client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and teach the system clause requirements through the Rule Engine.
• Process daily document volumes with accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to Quality and Turnaround Time (TAT) KPIs as per client SLAs.
• Participate in testing cycles — prepare test cases, execute testing, and validate results in the testing environment.
• Identify and mitigate operational and financial risks related to trade document processing.
• Guide and mentor new team members, providing support on domain knowledge and process understanding.
  
  

Qualifications And Skills

• 4–6 years of experience in Trade Transaction Processing.
• Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree (BBA, B.Com, MBA, or equivalent).
• CDCS certification or Document Checking experience (minimum 4–6 years).
• Strong understanding of data collection and analysis techniques.
• Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and English (written and spoken).
• Sound knowledge of UCP 600, ISBP (latest edition), and related trade finance standards.
  
  

Preferred Abilities

• Prior involvement in automation or digitization initiatives within trade processing.
• Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Cloud Infrastructure concepts.
