Senior Software Engineer / AI Developer

As an AI Developer at PakWheels.com, you will play a key role in designing, building, and integrating AI-powered solutions that improve engineering productivity, product intelligence, automation, and user experience across the platform.

You will work closely with product, engineering, data, and business teams to identify high-impact AI opportunities and convert them into scalable, secure, and production-ready systems. Your expertise in backend engineering, AI tools, large language models, automation, cloud platforms, and scalable system design will help shape the future of PakWheels.com.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate AI-powered features across PakWheels products and internal platforms.
• Build intelligent automation workflows using LLMs, AI agents, prompt engineering, RAG, and AI APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business problems where AI can improve speed, quality, automation, or user experience.
• Develop scalable backend services and APIs to support AI-driven applications and internal tools.
• Integrate AI solutions with existing systems, databases, workflows, and cloud infrastructure.
• Build reliable data pipelines and retrieval mechanisms for AI use cases.
• Ensure AI-generated outputs are secure, accurate, explainable, and aligned with business requirements.
• Implement monitoring, logging, evaluation, and feedback mechanisms for AI systems.
• Actively work with AWS cloud infrastructure and AI-related cloud services.
• Write clean, secure, maintainable, and extensible code.
• Research, evaluate, and adopt new AI tools, frameworks, and best practices.
• Mentor developers on AI-assisted development, coding agents, automation, and practical AI usage in engineering workflows.
  
  

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Strong backend development experience in Ruby on Rails, Python, Go, Java, or similar languages.
• Practical experience with AI/LLM tools, AI APIs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, or AI agents.
• Strong understanding of APIs, distributed systems, databases, data models, and scalable backend architecture.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or private cloud environments.
• Ability to convert business requirements into reliable technical solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building practical, production-ready AI systems.
• An affinity for creating software that is extensible, performant, secure, and easy to maintain.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar AI/LLM platforms.
• Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS, Milvus, or pgvector.
• Experience building AI agents, workflow automation, chatbots, recommendation systems, or intelligent search systems.
• Familiarity with model evaluation, hallucination reduction, guardrails, and AI safety practices.
• Experience using AI coding tools such as Codex, Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or JetBrains AI.
• Understanding of MLOps, model monitoring, data privacy, and secure AI implementation.
• Prior experience in marketplaces, automotive platforms, classifieds, search, recommendations, or large-scale consumer products.
