UI/UX Designer

Firehorse, a US-based company, is hiring a UI/UX Designer with an exceptional eye for design and expert-level Figma skills. This is a client-direct role: you will present your work to clients, so outstanding written and spoken English and a confident, collaborative communication style are essential. Experience designing with AI tools such as Claude is a strong advantage. This is a hybrid role with 3 days onsite in Lahore.

Responsibilities

• Design intuitive, visually polished interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Own the design process end to end: research, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and developer handoff.
• Build and maintain design systems, component libraries, and style guides in Figma.
• Use AI-assisted design tools — particularly Claude — to accelerate ideation, prototyping, and production.
• Help structure and maintain design-system context, documentation, components, and guidelines so they can be effectively leveraged by AI design tools such as Claude.
• Explore and develop AI-assisted design workflows that improve design speed, consistency, and overall throughput.
• Experiment with emerging AI design capabilities and identify practical ways to integrate them into the team's design process.
• Balance AI-assisted design with strong human design judgment, ensuring AI-generated work remains consistent with the product's design system and overall UX standards.
• Present concepts directly to clients; gather, interpret, and incorporate feedback with professionalism.
• Collaborate closely with developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation.
• Conduct usability reviews and continuously iterate on live products.
• Maintain visual and brand consistency across all products.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio.
• Expert-level Figma: auto layout, components, variables, prototyping, and dev-mode handoff.
• Hands-on experience designing with AI tools, particularly Claude.
• Experience working with or creating structured design systems that can be used as context for AI-assisted design workflows.
• Understanding of how design-system components, styles, patterns, and guidelines can be structured to support AI-assisted design and prototyping.
• Ability and willingness to continuously learn and adopt new AI design tools and workflows as the technology evolves.
• Exceptional design sense — typography, layout, color, spacing, and visual hierarchy.
• Solid grasp of UX principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
• Experience designing responsive web and native mobile interfaces.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Claude Design, Figma AI, or similar AI-native design and prototyping tools.
• Experience designing AI-powered products or working in AI-assisted product development environments.
• Motion design or micro-interaction experience (e.g., Lottie, After Effects).
• Basic familiarity with HTML, CSS, and frontend constraints.
• Branding and illustration skills.
