About The Role

Folium AI is looking for an experienced and target-driven Upwork Bidder / Business Development Executive to help grow our sales pipeline through Upwork.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on Upwork bidding experience, strong written English, excellent proposal-writing skills, and a basic understanding of software development projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and bid on relevant Upwork projects based on our service offerings, including Web, Mobile, AI/ML, SaaS, and Software Development.
  • Write customized and persuasive proposals for each opportunity.
  • Manage and optimize the agency's Upwork profile, Job Success Score (JSS), and Connects.
  • Handle initial client communication and qualify potential leads.
  • Understand client requirements and coordinate with technical teams for project scope, estimates, and portfolios.
  • Maintain regular follow-ups with potential clients.
  • Track and report weekly bidding performance, including bids sent, responses, interviews, and project wins.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads and opportunities in CRM tools.


Requirements

  • 6 months to 1 year of hands-on Upwork bidding experience as an agency bidder or freelancer.
  • Strong written English and excellent proposal-writing skills.
  • Good understanding of the Upwork platform, Connects, and bidding strategies.
  • Basic understanding of web, mobile, AI/ML, SaaS, or software development projects.
  • Experience in lead qualification and client communication.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales reporting.
  • Proven experience in securing client responses, interviews, or project wins.
  • Ability to manage multiple bids and client conversations simultaneously.


Preferred Background

  • Experience in IT services, software development, or digital agency sales.
  • Understanding of the complete sales cycle from bidding to project closure.
  • Experience working with technical teams to understand and scope projects.
