Avento Labs is on the lookout for a ZK Cryptography Researcher to enrich our team with deep knowledge and expertise in ZK proofs and their applications. If you're passionate about pushing the boundaries of privacy and blockchain technology, you might just be the genius we need. This role is crucial for spearheading the prototyping, research, and design of our proving systems, as well as crafting ZK-friendly solutions that meet the diverse needs of the Avento Labs blockchain ecosystem. The variety of tasks, each with its unique challenges and scale, demands a dynamic individual ready to jump in and make an immediate impact.

What You'll Do

• Dive deep into multi-layered architectures to leverage Zero Knowledge proofs across different stages.
• Work closely with fellow researchers and developers to design and implement systems and protocols that are nothing short of efficient.
• Tackle upgradeability issues within ZK schemes, ensuring all consensus proofs are ZK-friendly.
• Design and contribute to the implementation of privacy-centric protocols utilizing ZK proofs.
• Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge ZK tools and frameworks to boost our systems' performance and efficiency.
• Keep up with the latest trends and advancements in Zero Knowledge proofs and blockchain tech, ensuring Avento Labs stays ahead of the curve.
• Offer expertise and support to the team on all things ZK proofs.
  
  

What Makes You Ideal For The Role

• A robust technical foundation, possibly with a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. PhD level or significant industry experience is a big plus!
• Solid experience with Zero Knowledge proofs, cryptography, and blockchain technology.
• In-depth knowledge of Zero-Knowledge proof systems (zk-SNARK, circom, Plonk/Halo2, zk-STARK), elliptic curve cryptography, and circuit design.
• A history of impactful contributions to complex systems using ZK proofs.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and swift decision-making skills.
• A team player who can simplify complex concepts for anyone to understand.
• A burning passion for blockchain technology and a drive to explore the unexplored.
• Familiarity with current ZK tools and frameworks, plus a knack for picking up new tools on the fly.

• Insight into other privacy-preserving technologies (MPC, FHE).
