Purpose

• Lead operational use of GIS systems in conjunction with Operational Technologies.
• Manage digitization of KE network assets, providing end-users with digital maps and integrated processes.
  
  

Education & Relevant Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, or Engineering (a master’s degree is a plus
• 8+ years of expertise in GIS and geospatial technologies.
  
  

Knowledge & Skills

• Project Management and Team Leadership.
• Proficiency in ESRI Enterprise Suite, ArcGIS Pro, Schneider ArcFM Suite, QGIS, FME, AutoCAD, MicroStation, geospatial data QA/QC
• Knowledge of commercial business processes.
• Knowledge of SAP - ERP systems (SAP PM, PS, MM, IS-U, CRM).
• Proven leadership and management skills, with ability to motivate and guide teams.
  
  

Areas Of Responsibility

• Ensuring the Sanctity of Network Hierarchy by GIS:
• Provide guidelines for timely project completion and train stakeholders on new systems.
• Keep the GIS enterprise system available to all stakeholders.
• Optimize GIS infrastructure and software suite in coordination with external vendors and ITG.
• Provide technical solutions for integration with other systems.
• Manage GIS application support and software license portfolio management.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for GIS system upgrades, expansions, and integrations, aligning with business objectives.
• Operational Monitoring and Support:
• Oversee the operational monitoring of utility networks and infrastructure projects.
• Ensure all network changes and updates are incorporated timely into the GIS system.
• Provide strategic guidance and implement cutting-edge geospatial solutions to optimize spatial data workflow.
• Provide technical support for GIS applications and resolve software/workflow-related issues.
• Train and supervise end-users and hybrid teams on GIS tools and technologies.
• Develop and deliver training programs for desktop and field end-users.
• Stakeholder Management:
• Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on project statuses and GIS activities.
• Conduct frequent meetings with operations, business units, and external users to address geospatial requirements.
• Supervise team members and coordinate with cluster teams, IT, procurement, contractors, and vendors.
• Promote appropriate technology and applications among end-users.
