Purpose
The main purpose of this role is to develop and ensure consistency in design and concept of KE’s digital activities. The role is crucial for running an in-house design unit which develops daily content for social media and provides design support to internal departments as well. DM – Creative/Digital Media also develops design theme and key visuals prior to campaign launch.
Addition of this role has made KE’s digital unit operate without the need for an external agency. This has helped the department save on retainership costs and also has become more efficient by timely developing content for releases.
Required Education & Experience
Minimum Bachelors (Marketing), 1 to 2 years of relevant experience with sound knowledge of design software for static and motion graphics. The incumbent should have worked in either a creative agency or an inhouse department. The resource is required to develop design strategy before executing the content him/herself.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
1 Digital Media Design Development - To maintain and ensure latest creative design trends across digital media platforms & channel development of YouTube with animated videos
i. Design adaptations according to the relevant digital platform
ii. Interactive content development.
iii. Creative assets for media & advertising
iv. Assist in content development for Conventional Media, Internal comms and any other internal requirements
v. Crisis Support through content development and live feed development and release.
vi. Support in developing a creative Digital PR campaign
2 Assist in Content Creation for other departments - To provide design support to Media, Internal Comms and Brands when need arises.
Video content & Static content to be developed as per brand guidelines for internal department to support in content creation
3 YouTube Channel Development- To develop relevant content strategy for YouTube around the “how to?” video concept in order to attract traffic to KE’s YouTube channel. Aim for 6 videos at least within a year
The activity will also build a directory of pictures, videos and gifs which KE can use on its various collaterals
At least 15 Instagram specific posts to be developed around showing Karachi through pictures, gifs, boomerangs, time-lapses, drone shots & IGTV videos.
5 DVC Project - To develop concept and ideation for a DVC concept and have it executed through a digital agency.
The Digital Video can be on Energy Conservation, KE Live App, Theft, Load Shedding, Safety Hazard, Bill Payment or any other similar topic.
Development and training of new resource to fully handle creative tasks. Also the reporting resource should expand his role from a designer into management/agency handling roles
9 HSEQ - Compliance of HSEQ policies and guidelines

- To be able to shoot vertical, mobile-only content and edit using online softwares for immediate digital release.
- Have an understanding of up-coming design technologies for digital creative development such as AI softwares like Midjourney, Figma for wesbite/app etc.
Development and training of new resource to fully handle creative tasks. Also the reporting resource should expand his role from a designer into management/agency handling roles
9 HSEQ - Compliance of HSEQ policies and guidelines
- Will follow & promote to compliance to the gridlines defined by the company
