General Manager Security

Purpose

This role is responsible for ensuring effective security of K-Electric workforce, installations, and materials. The position will oversee all aspects of daily security operations, including boundary control measures, crisis management, and coordination with law enforcement agencies (LEAs).

Education & Experience

• Retired officers of Pakistan Armed Forces (Lieutenant Colonel, Colonel and equivalent) preferably Intelligence Course qualified. Service and experience in intelligence/security outfits being an added advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of security protocols, risk management, and crisis response.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage complex security operations and lead cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in using security-related technologies and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Area Of Responsibilities

• Provide security support to business/line functions and handle crisis situations effectively.
• Develop and maintain close liaison with law enforcement agencies (LEAs) to ensure their support when required.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, LEAs, and external security partners to ensure a coordinated approach to security management.
• Assess security requirements and deploy security assets appropriately across KE installations.
• Oversee the performance of security personnel and assist them in executing operational tasks.
• Formulate and implement Security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Conduct periodic surveys of KE installations to assess and enhance boundary control measures.
• Oversee the installation, monitoring, and operational readiness of CCTV systems.
• Collaborate with the legal team to lodge FIRs and facilitate court proceedings where applicable.
• Report safety violations and recommend measures to minimize risks.
• Analyze security challenges and implement corrective measures.
• Organize periodic training for security personnel on emergency response and mob handling.
• Foster a conducive working environment to build a committed and high-performing security team.
• Manage the development and career planning of security staff.
• Oversee incident response and crisis management, ensuring timely and effective resolution of security-related issues.
• Stay updated on emerging security trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the organization’s security posture.
• Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on security operations, incidents, and performance metrics.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Chief of Security.
