Head of Supply Chain

The Catalyst Group is hiring a Head of Supply Chain for its client, The Searle Company, one of Pakistans leading pharmaceutical companies.

About The Role

We are looking for a strategically grounded and operationally sharp supply chain leader to take charge of upstream supply planning and procurement for our pharmaceutical business. With increasing complexity across local and international sourcing, regulatory oversight, cold chain requirements, and export flows this role is key to building a modern, resilient, and efficient supply backbone. The Head of Supply Chain will closely partner with IBL Ops (our distribution arm), manufacturing plants, quality teams, and regulatory functions ensuring seamless integration across the value chain. Youll drive S&OP maturity, strengthen supplier networks, and embed compliance and digitisation across supply processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead upstream supply chain operations, including raw material/API procurement, import planning, and supplier relationship management
• Drive effective S&OP processes to ensure alignment between demand, production, and procurement
• Oversee planning and coordination for local and export markets, managing timelines, lead times, and inventory buffers
• Strengthen cold chain management and logistics practices, ensuring quality and compliance standards are met end-to-end
• Partner with IBL Ops to ensure efficient distribution, inventory visibility, and service level improvements
• Ensure full regulatory and compliance alignment across supply operations,
  
  
  

including DRAP, GDP, GMP, and import/export protocols

• Build and develop a high-performing supply chain team, upgrading processes, tools, and mindsets
• Leverage SAP MRP for integrated planning, procurement, and performance monitoring
  
  
  

What You'll Bring

• 510 years of experience in pharmaceutical supply chain or related industries, with clear upstream exposure
• Demonstrated experience in S&OP design and execution, cross-functional planning, and supplier management
• Working knowledge of SAP (preferably SAP MRP) and digital tools for
  
  
  

planning and procurement

• Strong understanding of pharma regulations and quality systems (DRAP,
  
  
  

GMP, GDP)

• Experience with cold chain operations, international logistics, and export planning
• Proven ability to build, scale, or restructure supply chain teams and systems
• Collaborative mindset with strong coordination and influencing skills across manufacturing, quality, and distribution functions
